Rachmann, a Trump ally, said on Tuesday that he was not planning to donate to the charity that donated $200,000 to the United States Committee to Protect Journalists, saying he was concerned about what would happen to journalists in the event of a coup.
Rachmoun has said that he wants to work with the United Nations and the United Arab Emirates to fight corruption, but said on Wednesday that his group would donate to an organization that would fight corruption.
“I don’t know if I’m going to give to the UN or the UAE, I don’t care,” Rachmeier said on CNN.
“My goal is to make sure that the world’s most corrupt countries are not the ones that are the ones with the most freedom of the press.
So if I end up being president, it will be my mission to make it as easy as possible for journalists to get access to governments.”
Rachmei has said he has been in contact with the Emirati government to help in the fight against corruption.
