LGBQ charities and other non-profits focused on LGBT issues are popping up around the country.
Here are five to watch in 2018.

A Place of Hope for LGBT Youth and People with Disabilities.
A place of hope for LGBT youth and people with disabilities, A Place Of Hope for Youth and people on the spectrum is a 501c3 non-profit founded in February 2018.
The mission of the nonprofit is to offer a safe space for youth and their families, foster a culture of safety, and empower people to live openly.
The organization offers classes for children in their homes and helps them transition from being a closeted teen to an adult.
It offers counseling, employment placement, job training and other services for the LGBT community.

LGBT Youth Advocate Foundation.
LGBTYSAF is a nonprofit founded in October 2018 that supports LGBT youth in need.
It provides funding and assistance for youth through programs and events, including a mentoring program and a fund-raiser.
LGBTYA provides education, counseling, career placement, legal aid, referrals to family law, employment, and legal services.
The 501c2 status allows it to accept unlimited donations, and the foundation works to connect with LGBT youth who have experienced violence and other abuse.
LGBTYYF’s mission is to ensure the health, safety, dignity and social inclusion of LGBT youth.
The nonprofit is focused on improving the lives of LGBT teens in the community.

LGBIQC Foundation.
LGLIQC is a non-partisan non-governmental organization created in April 2018 to promote LGBT equality and equality for all in the United States.
Its mission is “to provide resources to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.”
The organization works to promote equal opportunity for LGBT Americans through research, advocacy, and education.
LIGGC is a nonpartisan nonprofit created in May 2018 that works to advance the rights and civil rights of LGBT Americans in the U.S. and abroad.
LigGC’s mission includes fostering a culture where all LGBT Americans can live openly, work, and be valued and respected.
The LIG GC Foundation is a partnership of the LIGGGC Foundation and the GLBTQ Coalition of Greater New York.

National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association.
The National Lesbian & Gay Journalists association is a national nonprofit founded by two former New York Times journalists, Maggie Ko and Jessica Levinson.
The group works to improve LGBT journalists’ work by increasing visibility and providing a forum for journalists to share stories and work collaboratively to create new voices.
The association promotes diversity in media, particularly the lesbian and gay community, by partnering with LGBTQ-inclusive organizations and organizations that support the LGBTQ community, like the National LGBTQ Task Force, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and more.
The foundation has also launched a campaign to increase the number of journalists in the LGBT-inclusion workforce, as well as increasing the number that can hold the title of “National Reporter.”

LGBT Legal Defense and Education Fund.
The GLDNFF was created in July 2018 by the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, a group founded by three former U.K. ministers, David and Karen Black.
The center is dedicated to providing a legal and advocacy model to assist in the defense of LGBT people who face discrimination, including the rights of LGBTQ people to marry, marry in a civil union, and adopt children.
GLDNff provides legal representation for LGBT individuals in state and federal court and provides legal support to organizations, including faith-based organizations, to assist LGBTQ people in their efforts to access their rights.
The Center also has a focus on providing a platform for the advocacy and advocacy of people of color in the LGBTQ space, particularly for racial justice initiatives.

LUCC, as the group is called, is a legal advocacy and research nonprofit.
The focus of the organization is to advance an open and inclusive legal system that supports civil rights and the equality of people on all sides of the civil rights struggle.
The program focuses on providing legal services and resources to people of all identities and sexual orientations.
LUCCC was established in August 2018 and the group provides services and services to LGB+ communities across the country through education, training, research and advocacy.
LUNC has a mission to provide a safe and inclusive environment for all of LGB+.
The LUNCC mission is focused solely on protecting the rights, safety and dignity of Lgb+ communities in Chicago.

The Human Rights Center of Greater Chicago, founded in June 2018, is dedicated in part to supporting the rights for LGBT+ people across the U, with a particular focus on improving access to education and employment.
