In an interview with Business Insider, Bezos said that the Amazon Foundation has always had a strong focus on the causes it cares about.
In the interview, Bezos explained how Amazon has become such a huge success for the Greater Great Good, including supporting the World Wildlife Fund, the United Way and many other charities, among others.
“I’ve made it a point to have people know that I’m supporting these charities because I want them to do the best work that they can for their fellow citizens,” Bezos said.
“I’m very grateful for all the people who have supported the cause and who have donated to it.”
Amazon is also a major supporter of the United Nations, which Bezos said is a good example of why the company is a great philanthropist.
“There are a lot of great things that we are doing for the people around the world and this is one that’s very important,” Bezos told Business Insider.
“There’s a great organization that does great work around the globe.
There’s a lot to be thankful for in that.”
